About Timezone Matcher
A small, fast, honest tool for people who work across time zones — built and maintained by an independent studio, free to use, with nothing to sign up for.
What it is
Timezone Matcher is a meeting scheduler and world clock for remote teams. You add the cities of everyone involved, the grid shows each person's working day in their own local time, and the rows where every window overlaps are shaded. Click a slot and you get a calendar invite with the right local time for each attendee. Around it sit the tools people actually search for: a time zone converter, a live world clock, a working-hours calculator, 174 city-pair pages that answer "what is the time difference between X and Y" and a computed calendar of daylight-saving changes.
Where the data comes from
Everything is derived from the IANA time-zone database — the same reference used by Linux, macOS, Android, iOS and virtually every server. We do not maintain our own table of offsets or DST dates; the runtime's tz data is the single source of truth, so when a country changes its rules the site follows without a manual edit. Dates and offsets on the city-pair and DST pages are computed at the moment you load them.
Who makes it
Timezone Matcher is designed, built and run by Furiosa Studio, an independent studio that publishes a small network of free data tools (furiosadata.com). There is no venture funding, no sales team and no data broker behind it. The site is written in TypeScript on Next.js and served from Cloudflare's edge so it loads fast everywhere.
How it is funded
The site is free and always will be. It is supported by unobtrusive advertising and by voluntary contributions on the Support page. We never sell user data — there are no accounts, so there is nothing to sell — and the tool works fully with ad blockers on.
Privacy in one paragraph
Your selected cities are stored in your own browser (local storage) so they survive a reload; they never leave your device. We use Google Analytics through a consent-gated tag manager to count visits. Details, and how to opt out, are on the Privacy and Cookies pages.
Corrections and contact
If a difference, a DST date or a zone name looks wrong, tell us — time-zone rules change several times a year and we would rather fix it in hours than have it wrong for weeks. Reach us through the Contact page or at hello@timezonematcher.com.
