What is a world clock?

A world clock shows the current local time in multiple cities or time zones simultaneously. It is used to coordinate calls and meetings across regions, track markets, and stay in touch with people in other countries. Timezone Matcher's world clock updates live every second and shows UTC offsets and day/night status for each city.

What time is it around the world right now?

The grid above shows the live current time in 24 major cities — New York, London, Tokyo, Sydney, Dubai, Los Angeles, Paris, Singapore, Mumbai, São Paulo and more — each with its UTC offset. The times update every second and automatically respect daylight-saving time using the IANA time-zone database.

How is a world clock different from a time zone converter?

A world clock shows the current time everywhere at once — a live snapshot. A time zone converter takes a specific time in one zone and tells you the equivalent in another, including for past or future dates. Use the world clock to see 'what time is it now in X', and the converter to plan 'if it's 3pm here, what time is it there'.

Does the world clock adjust for daylight saving time?

Yes. Every city in the grid uses its IANA time-zone identifier, so daylight-saving transitions are applied automatically. When a region springs forward or falls back, its displayed time and UTC offset update without any manual adjustment.

Why do some cities show a different day?

When it is late evening in the Americas it is already the next morning in Asia and Oceania — they are across the International Date Line. The grid shows the day label next to each city so you can see at a glance which cities are 'tomorrow' relative to you.
